John Stonestreet's passion is to illuminate a biblical worldview for today's culture. He's a speaker, writer, cultural commentator, and collaborator of worldview initiatives. In his shared role with the Colson Center/Breakpoint and Summit Ministries, John directs conferences and curriculum projects, speaks to groups nationally and internationally, consults on worldview education for schools and churches, and appears frequently on web and radio broadcasts.
As the new host of The Point, a daily national radio program, John provides thought-provoking commentaries on current events and life issues from a Biblical worldview. This short-feature speaks to listeners right where they're at...facing challenges and cultural questions that all of us deal with on a daily basis.
John has worked in various capacities with Summit Ministries since 1999. Since 2007, he has served as the executive director of Summit, overseeing the various aspects of the ministry to accomplish its mission of cultivating rising generations to resolutely champion a Biblical worldview.
In 2011, John joined the team at BreakPoint. This shared appointment is to personify and catalyze the vision of BreakPoint to build and resource a movement of Christians committed to living and defending Christian worldview.
Prior to working with Summit and BreakPoint, John was on the teaching faculty of Bryan College where he helped to develop a Christian worldview sequence for the core curriculum, as well as several non-traditional educational opportunities. He also directed the Bryan College Worldview Team, an innovative educational initiative designed to teach students to analyze worldviews using the lens of popular media and culture.
John holds a master of arts in Christian thought from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (IL) where he graduated with honors. He is the author of many web and print articles, and the co-author with W. Gary Phillips and William E. Brown of Making Sense of Your World: A Biblical Worldview, 2nd ed. (Sheffield Press, 2007).
John and his wife Sarah were married in 2002. They have three daughters and a dog, and live in Colorado Springs, Colo.
