Somewhere around the middle of Monday, I hit the wall with all this election stuff. I was ready for it to be over, I was ready to stop getting the ridiculous amount of mail and robo-calls that became part of swing state life the last several months. I was tired that so many commentaries were on election-related issues. Well, now it’s over, but the issues central to this election remain central to our cultural lives and should be central concerns for thoughtful Christians.
A key lesson is that our culture continues to shift. We may have thought political activism in areas of life, marriage, and religious liberty was sufficient to curb the cultural tide, but it clearly was not. Broad cultural work is required. And, we must prepare the next generation to live against the current cultural tide, which is stronger than ever. I have three thoughtful guests with me this weekend on BreakPoint this Week to offer an election recap and lessons for the future. Come to thePointRadio.org to listen. I’m John Stonestreet.
