If you've picked up a newspaper in the last few weeks, you may have seen a full-page ad from the legendary evangelist Billy Graham. Reverend Graham, who has carefully ministered to many American presidents during his ministry, said this:

"We are at a crossroads, and there are profound moral issues at stake. I strongly urge you to vote for candidates who support the biblical definition of marriage between a man and a woman, who wil protect the sanctity of life and defend our religious freedoms."

Many critique Graham for jumping into politics, but Timothy George, Robert George and Chuck Colson identified the same issues Reverend Graham mentioned as being central in The Manhattan Declaration. And they are central issues. They're fundamental, non-negotiable issues for any Christian, and we can't avoid their political implications.

Billy Graham is right, and Chuck Colson would have agreed. Come to ThePointRadio.org to read Timothy George's thoughts on this issue. For The Point, I'm John Stonestreet.
