As I said in yesterday’s commentary, pro-life politicians should now expect that questions thrown at them about abortion will be loaded set-ups and their responses will be construed in the worst possible light.  Somehow defending life in cases of rape is supporting rape itself. Now, that gives us no excuse for poorly stated answers. We should expect the questions and plan the answers.

That said, what if pro-abortion politicians could expect tough questions every once in a while, too? As Mollie asks at patheos.com, why not ask pro-abortion politicians to defend the far more common extreme cases of elective abortion? Like because of the baby’s wrong gender, or the targeting extinction of Down’s syndrome, or just because the timing is inconvenient? What about the gruesome procedure of partial-birth abortion supported by many, including our own president and his wife?

As Mollie says, “the inconsistency is galling here.” For thePointRadio.org, I’m John Stonestreet.

senate seats
we lost two very important senate seats because these men were unprepared for these questions. We cannot let that happen again.
