We’re not the only ones who think these issues are worth fighting for. For the Chuck Colson Center for Christian Worldview, I’m John Stonestreet with The Point.
While religious conservatives are often blamed for all the fighting, we aren’t the only ones fighting this “Culture War.” And these battles don’t just happen in America.
In St. Petersburg, Russia a law was just passed banning the promotion of homosexuality to minors. This has gay rights advocates worldwide up in arms and ready for a fight; for example Madonna and her 15-year-old daughter who’ve long advocated for the legalization of gay marriage in the U.S.
Madonna will be performing in St. Petersburg in a few weeks, and says she plans to speak out against Russia’s mission to cease gay promotion, and may even undress — an act that breaks this law. And though she’s been warned she and her crew will face punishment like any other citizen, Madonna claims she won’t “run from adversity.”
We’ll see who gives in first. We may not like the fighting, but Christians aren’t the only ones who think some issues are worth fighting for. For thePointRadio.org, I’m John Stonestreet.
